2007.01.26 I just watched a feature about Harada Ikuko on the NHK show Yurunavi. The theme was her relationship with the piano-harmonica thingy she's had since she was 18, but there was plenty of substance for clammbon fans:
- An old photo of the band from when they were still at art school.
- Footage of the band cooking dinner at their studio, then jamming.
- Visual confirmation that Miss Ikuko and Mito use MacBooks! Daisuke has a PC...
- A bit of the video for THE NEW SONG; you can see a low-qual version on YouTube. The band is all dressed up, no one's nose bleeds, and at the end you can see Mito's little daughter.

Speaking of THE NEW SONG, I have been watching it daily. It's so great! Is it released on anything or is it from a new, unreleased CD or just a single?
Can I view the NHK show?
PS.. I just ordered 'Piano' from Ikuko.. I can't wait to hear it.

As of right now, THE NEW SONG is just a maxi-single. Maybe I should start keeping singles in the discography at this site. The disc has three versions of TNS, "Ahoj" (the theme for a Czech animated show), and "Doburonottsu".
This was clammbon's first single since "Surround"; they seem to have eschewed the standard Japanese practice of releasing several singles, then collecting them with some new songs as an album. Instead they have been making each album as a complete work, and not releasing singles at all. That TNS was a single suggests to me that it won't be on an album at all; maybe they just wanted to record something original together amidst their side projects, cover album, and live album.
I didn't find the show online, but I have it on VHS so I'll import it if I can bring it back to the USA. Enjoy your "Piano"!
